Closing Rear Hatch with Key Fob

I'm hoping someone can help me out with some coding, to enable closing the rear hatch with the key fob. Manual says it can be done, but mine does not work. I can close it from inside the car, by pulling on, and holding the switch in the door panel, but not from the key fob. When I press and hold the hatch button on the fob, I hear something that sounds like a latch releasing, and the tail lights flash, but the hatch does not move.

No, that's not it. I understand that you have to be close, and I did read the manual. I can close it from inside the car, with the lever/button in the driver's door
On my wife's Q5, with her fob, it works; hers closes. I'm convinced that it is something to do with my car's coding, so I'm asking if someone can share their coding, so I can change mine, to mimic theirs

If you stand behind the car and hold the remote button down, after about 3 seconds the trunk will start closing. This is a standard feature on all allroad models when equipped with advanced key (as yours is). If it's not working, then you should ask the dealer to get it checked out.

The long coding in module 6D is set to 0570 on mine too. Prior to checking the coding using OBDeleven I tried to verify that my key fob would actually close the hatch and was surprised when it didn't. Pressing the button on the hatch door still worked. I then tried only using the foot under the rear method and it worked to both open and close the hatch. Finally, I tried the fob again and this time held it for about one more second after you hear the mechanical sound and it did actually close the hatch.

This. You have to hold the fob longer than you would expect (so that you don't accidentally close the hatch on someone).

I got it working again. Turns out module 46 was the culprit. I remembered doing an initial scan in December, when I first acquired the allroad. I set the coding in module 46 back to the original December scan, and the hatch now closes with the remote. For reference my December coding was 013400004F9100C0650BA0006E01080233004000010027502F 0400000F04803F001E0001000000. I had to change (revert) bits 27 and 28 back to their original settings.
Thinking back, I tried to "extended" the range of the key fob. For anyone who is not familiar with the google doc that summarizes coding changes for the B9's here is the link.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...h.4d1j7jkkg1e2
It clearly states
IMPORTANT: This is known to cause the automatic tailgate/trunk to no longer close from the remote.
I must have missed that. As stated by others, and in the manual, you have to be behind the car, and in close proximity for the closing to work. I was hoping to be able to close the hatch from further away, or from the side or front of the vehicle, but I guess you can't have it both ways.
If anyone knows of a work around, I would be interested in hearing the solution.
