Default North America spec 2020 vs 2021 MHEV

Hey everyone,

I am 100% certain that the 2021 A4 Allroad in the US has a 12V lithium ion battery for mild hybridization, but what about the 2020 model? Did that also have the lithium ion battery? (I'm trying to have my cake it too. I'd like the MMI refresh but no mild hybridization at all). Looking at a winter car.

Thanks!

According to the EPA’s fuel economy website, the 2020 is not a mild hybrid. That seems to jibe with what I’ve read in press releases, as Audi is making a point about mild hybrids for 2021 model year updates in the a4/a5 range. I should add that this is specific to what I’ve read for the US market. Not sure about Canada.

When my sales manager sent me the Order Guide in early September, it stated that the 0221 would have mild hybridization. But the Audi website makes no such mention.

I pick up my MY21 in two days, so I will let you know.

My 2020 is just straight 2.0T. That why I bought the 2020 after reading what was coming down the pike. I plan on owning this car for many years and less complexity is better in my opinion.
