What's your real life mileage? I find it odd that the allroad has such a worse mileage than the A4 or even the new S4. I had a B9 A4 loaner and got 24 mpg in morning commute, and 32 with cruise control set to 80. In comparison my B8 S4 gets 13/20 in the same regimen.
Do you have any real life numbers you care to share? I searched but didn't find any threads or other information on that topic.
Thanks!

I'm getting 22-23 mpg in mixed driving with more of that in town/city. I have a lead foot though and always drive in "S" mode. I generally get 30+ on extended highway runs at 70-75 mph

In the city, this means for me basically stop & go on 85 around here - it's worse than "city" because usually in the city you move. I have 30 minutes for 6 miles. Even so, when opportunity comes, I do hand shift the car, which brings me down to 13mpg. My friend borrowed the car for a while and got 16 in the same cycle. So it may be the driver

My Allroad sees about 20-22mpg in the city due to my heavy right foot. I do let it shift for itself. Highway mileage is a different story. 30-40mpg is easy to achieve at a steady speed on a flat road.

I did 350 miles of mostly highway with about 2000 miles on the odometer last week. Measured MPG was 33.3. (The MMI mileage seems to be systematically high in its calculations of MPG so it is only a relative guide for me.) An earlier longer, but mostly highway trip was 29.5 MPG. My highway driving is primarily in D at steady speeds. 22-24 is about right for overall for me as well. FWIW, the car seems to have a bit more punch as miles accumulate and it also has developed a pleasing exhaust note on acceleration.
