Hi,
A brand new 2020 Audi A4 Allroad Prestige. The stock continental 245x45R18 tires were super noisy. Replaced with Vredestein Quadrac Pro same dimensions. The car is much more quiet (less swoosh sound) but now I hear a tone/hum/drone from the front left when riding over non smooth surfaces even at 20 MPH. When going faster it kinda of get drowned in the other noise. On smooth surfaces the car is very quiet tire noise wise but you do hear cars passing by more than I expected. Strangely, for the hum, opening the window (acoustic on the Prestige) does not seem to let more sound in. Might even be better when open. I don’t hear this noise coming from any other direction but didn’t try the passenger’s seat yet. Left tire was replaced replaced by seller. No change. Wheel balanced was rechecked on all wheels. No issue. Tire shop states the wheel when in the air doesn’t make any sound when turning (not a bearings issue I guess).
Anyone experiencing something similar? Any idea on what could be the cause and how to test what it is?
