In 1 is just an indicator that it is time for service. It does not mean that there is something wrong with your car. I wouldn't think that it would lose track of the mileage when the indicator is supposed to come on because of a dead battery, but I don't know for sure. The service tech sets the mileage interval for the indicators, and may have punched in the wrong value.
