Default "CAM Adjuster Gasket and Seal is Leaking"...

well, that is what the mechanic tells me. I was told it would cost $2k. I read through the archives and I was lost in terms of whether is the tensioner or if it is something else.

I am planning to have the Timing Belt, Water Pump and Thermostat changed also after reading the archives since my 98 A4 1.8T is due for a 65k service.

Please advise on what the cost of all the above would be and if I should watch out to have something else done also for the 65k service. Thanks!

Default BIG BS... IT ONLY COST

$400.00 for the cam adjuster seals and valve cover gasket
if you do it together with the timing belt job it will cost you $1100.00 for everything in cluding all the parts
