"Check Engine" light....

came on Monday afternoon. Due to illness I wasn't able to get the car in for service until yesterday. Turns out that both the O2-sensors had to be replaced.
Car is an 99.5-A4-QMS with about 18,000 miles.
The car also had an idle issue when coming to a stop, it would almost stall sometimes, the day before the "Check Engine" light graced my dash.
Service rep mentioned that Bosch is/was having issues with its O2-sensors of late but seems to have resolved the issue with the new parts.
Anyone else run across this?

Don't have tank almost empty, it happend to me because I wouldn't put gas until light comes on. Now I always go to the gas station earlier, and I never experience same problem.
