Default When mine leaked, it was just like alcohol or something.

I was like, "WTF is this on the shifter ****?" and spread it around my fingers.

It got into a fresh wound, stung a bit, but otherwise just evaporated.

I wiped up, with some glovebox-napkins, the rest of it but it never really caused any harm.

I kept a towel in the car to drape over the shifter just in case the rest decided to leak out.

It would stain the napkins a bit, but it never gummed anything up or caused any issues.

Default I wonder how important a fuel filter is anymore........

I know some late 90's Dodge's had an integral filter that was never to be changed.

I recommend, to my customers, to change it every 2 years. It's cheap insurance that'll save you a fuel pump.

But, seriously, how dirty is the gas we're putting in?

My car has 143,400 on the clock.... is this the original filter? If so, how dirty is it?

I may go back in a week or so and be a bit more adventureous with the fuel lines. Who knows.
