The dealer wants that much (each) to replace my tires, but they are doing a free alignment.

I switched to Michelin MXV4 Plus and I'm much happier with the ride, noise and traction.

Default Also note that the only difference between the 8000 and the 8000E is the curb guard and price

since its OEM, the price is double for the E

"E" tires have different compound (higher silica for better wet traction and treadwear).

dont' you find the MXV4 too soft? I had them on my Accord and I hated the lack of quick response.
