$390 to replace a tranny? is that fair price? (labour only)

Default $390 to replace a tranny? is that fair price? (labour only)
Shop has indicated that they took a look at the tranny without taking it out, the tranny seal is definitly gone,and the torque converter seems to be shifted, there saying most likly change the tranny and labour for the tranny is $390 plus fluid, and filter and gasket.I can get a tranny with 84K on it for $500 are these fair prices ?

Default sounds decent, i would opt for a reman-d converter talk to tozo on the a8 list
it's less than $300 then you don't have to worry about the converter again!

Default Ok thanks, he was saying that the converter mayhave damaged other parts in the tranny better
to change the tranny instead of just the torque converter...
