wrong......they absolutely ARE the same company.......
they use the same platforms and the same engines. For example, the A4 and Passat are virtually identical other than exterior styling, interior, and suspension differences. Other than that they're the same car. Although not quite as similar, the TT and Golf/Beetle are essentially the same car as well.

not to mention Seat and skoda too... ever notice all the boxes all have the 4 logos?
I agree... the SAME FREAKING CAR... there is more in common with the A4 and the Passat then there are between the A4 and the A6....
