I would think the almost 200lb difference in cars would come into play.
And if you're shifting at high RPM's...the small lag that comes with a turbo, will hardly make a difference.

Down side of the supercharger is that it's tied to the crank and adds to crank power loss...
It's a load just like the AC compressor and steering pump is. Turbo is passive, but has it's own set of negatives such as latency and system backpressure.... All are design issues of course.....
