my ECU # is 8D0 907 558 M, but APR's website does not have this ECU #. Will I need to UPGRADE my ECU to a 8D0 907 557 P, then install the chip? The guy I am about to buy the APR chip off of has an ECU # of 8D0 907 557 P. thanks.

but I need that model I think. I have the "558 M", the "557 P", which is the ECU he has replaces it I believe.

iirc the 558 M wasn't made for very long, which is why apr doesn't chip it. i wouldn't suggest removing the chip. your chances of destroying it are pretty high. look here for an ecu to trade.

http://www.carparts.com/</a
