****how does supercharger work anyways? close to turbo right?

Default I would think the almost 200lb difference in cars would come into play.

And if you're shifting at high RPM's...the small lag that comes with a turbo, will hardly make a difference.

I had one of a stock 2002 S4, but I've cleared out my picture gallery in the last few months.

ordare, do you have 1/4 runs? 0-60 times? My A4 is faster than my 225TT Stage 2 APR

Default How 'bout that lack of power the 4 banger has after 5500 rpm's

even with the chips, they've got nothing, and yes I know from experience, former 1.8T owner and current 225TT owner.

Default Down side of the supercharger is that it's tied to the crank and adds to crank power loss...

It's a load just like the AC compressor and steering pump is. Turbo is passive, but has it's own set of negatives such as latency and system backpressure.... All are design issues of course.....
