Default hmm, need some oettinger RE's first. I only got my ko4 installed last night so i

can have fun with that for awhile. And i cant rive the car until the end of the week cause it is in the bodyshop. But im thinking this summer a fmic and better flowing exhust manifold would b a nice add on to the ko4. Also new software wit a litte more boost to go with the fmic. Ok now im getting way ahead of myself.

Default yep. I got the same thing. at 23% it gets to 246.

So between the two I think thats good. 260 is too high.

Default I know that feeling =( Mine is doing it right now. New clutch goes in

this week. BTW does any one know the bore size of the stock rings/pistons. I am looking at changing piston rings this week.

Default not to start a fight, but where r u getting these numbers from?

like i said, im not posting what i believe is lost to the wheels, im just posting what they told me they have seen from stock a4s on their dyno. im jsut wondering if one of u got on another awd dyno and they had different calculations

Default He said his chip for the K03 was making 140 at the wheels,

which is a 186.6 hp at a 25% loss and 191.8 at 27% loss.

Default for comparison purposes...

when we had a dyno session at APR last May, we dyno'd a stock 2000 A4 (150hp) at 119hp, meaning 21% loss. After 5 runs with cooldowns of a few minutes between each run, 119hp was the average within 3-4hp. Different styles of dynomometers will give different wheel hp readings thus different loss calculations, but for comparing upgrades on like vehicles the % found on that dyno should be used. That said, 260hp from a standard k04 upgrade is a bit optomistic.

Default Not doubting you....

Just going on what I have personally seen, and what historically many, many folks over the years have reported seeing as an average loss. While it is true dynos vary from make to make even machine to machine, I never have seen a post about a resultant calculation of a 27% loss.

Default Well remember that a dyno is not perfect. The dyno #'s will change

no matter what. There are many factors that will change the hp # you will see. Even a 2 degree drop in temps will change the out come. So even dyno testing a stock A4 will not tell you what driveline loss there really is. BTW this comes from a guy that runs a dyno every day not me.
