Default 00 1.8T stalls occasionally on acceleration??

my buddy just bought a 00 A4 1.8t Auto, the car runs great except it just stalls for no reason when you leave a stop light or stop sign? the car idles good, runs great just for no reason it dies when you start to go. it always restarts no problem. No codes. I do know that the ECU is codes for a 5spd car which I will change next time I get a chance, but any other ideas?
I have not been able to get it to quit when I drive it so all know is it's always under light to medium acceleration and it always dies right in the middle of the intersection! Either going straight or making the turn. It seems like it has died more when making a turn so i would say more light acceleration.

Timing is dead on, I swapped throttle bodies, because the original didn't want to calibrate, but no change.

Well I looked at it a bit this morning and I found the Vac lines for the EGR/Combi and the Diverter valve were reversed, and the diverter valve was shot so swapped the vac lines and replaced the diverter, so hopefully this does it?? a

well no luck! after driving about 150 miles I figured out was is happening, or how to make the car stall. if you are at a light or stop sign, hit the gas fairly hard then let off and turn the wheel the car stalls!!! if you do this from a dead stop going straight, the rpm will drop to about 400-500rpm, so the pwr steering load is killing the engine, so my question is how do I get the rpms to not drop so low?

so if you are stoppped, hit the gas at least 1/2 to 3/4 and let off quickly, the rpms hit about 2000, then drop to about 400 while in drive, do the same thing and turn the wheel it stalls, abviously do to the added load on the engine.
I have put in new plugs, swapped throttle bodies, calibrated it and still stalls.

only code I get is the "normal" insuficient flow might have some affect if it's a vac leak but I have checked most of the lines and changed several.

any help here or ideas?

the codes that now come up are 17832 for leak in secondary injection
and now I get 17965 for overboost? possibly the n75 valve or leak,
I have checked all the lines and can't find anything Any ideas??
