Default 01 A4 1.8T new timing belt smell

Just had my timing belt and water pump changed and now theres a strong smell of burning rubber. Is this an installation issue with the belt?

yea when you get a burning smell that means your belt isnt fully properly installed.

It means your belt is dragging. I would park the car as it gets expensive real fast if the belt breaks.

park the car till it gets looked at. it could be a simple cover is not installed properly and that is what is rubbing, or it could be more serious which could cause the belt to bust!!
if you can't do this yourself I would recommend towing it.
