01 a4 1.8t same as golf 1.8t?? is audi and vw like honda acura or lexus toyota?

similar but diff engine tweaking
While the engines may be the same displacement and style, there are usually slight differences like in compression(thats why honda's take regular and acura premium) and gear ratios.

Uhhhh, no. The bore and stroke on every 1.8T is the same. The only differences are
in the heads and the intake and exhaust manifolds for the longitudinal and transverse setups. Even the TT 225 uses exactly the same short block as every other 1.8T.
