Hello everyone,

I am trying to find the max input torque that the 012/01W (FWD 5-speed manual) transaxle can handle. I do know that the biggest engine I have found that it mates up to is a 2.8L V6 30V DOHC in the B5's (191hp and 208ft-lbs). This obviously means that the transaxle is able to at least hand this much torque in the A4 application, but the designers put a max that this transaxle should ever see at the input.

For example, there are self study programmes that Audi/VW gave to their technician in order to gain knowledge of different systems. I found a self study programme for the 01x transmission that says it can handle a max torque input of 330Nm.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find definitive info such as this but for the 012/01W?????

Determine the cars (engines) the 01X was applicabe to and do a correlation using the 012/01W.
