Default is that the "new and improved" filter for the 1.8T on your 12v?

If so, they're definitely bigger, but I can't see why it wouldn't fit.

Default 115-561 = oil filter

sometimes you will see a 079-198-405-a however thats a repair kit since it has a 1(98) designation.

yes its a garganto OEM oil filter that isnt used on audis in this country however it is stocked by some VW dealerships for eurovans and other VW oddities.

Think 078 or 068 filter... but a lot longer.

Default this is larger than the revisited 068 filter for the 1.8T

and for $5.50 each (my cost) Under $10 over counter at dealer... much less than 078 filter... this is the one I'll be using now.
