ditto. my dealer still says the noise is not abnormal and won't replace it since they've done them

before and the noise just comes back later.

I'm hoping to complain louder this time at my 50k service and get it done.

Thanks for the great info. I'm mechanically inclined so might attempt this, but working in an unheated garage in New England this time of year is not very appealing. I guess it's a good time to change the timing belt also.
