I know everyone thiks that removing the oil pan is a PITA, but it wasn't so bad for me, I got 12 small allan bolts removed from the pan, I removed all, I removed the entire front end from my car, my turbo assembly is also removed (replacing it). I also removed one of the large ~16mm bolts from the pan, the return line from the turbo is removed, the engine is hoisted high enough to allow plenty of room to pull the pan out if it would come loose, I even got the damn bolts from the flywheel area out with not too much trouble.
There is one more ~16mm bolt on the passenger side of the pan, is that one actually holding the pan to the block? How many small allan bolts should there be in total? How many bolts do I need to remove from the pan in total before it should come loose a little bit.
I have searched, but I need specific answers, thanks guys!
