When I purchased my 97 A4 used, the salesman told me something about Audi having a 10 yr rust warranty thing. Does anyone know anything about this? I did remember reading something about it in the manual, but I lost it. Can anyone give me some insight into this? Any experiences with it?

I'm in Toronto Canada. I have a little bit of rust building right where the side moldings are on my rear passenger side door.

is it just oxidation or is the metal rusting? try a rubbing compound on it to see

none. oxidation=rust

regardless, it's a rust THROUGH warranty. That means, a little rust is fine, a hole in your body panel is not.

those bums.. I have rust in the same spot as Impost Racer, but its no where close to rusting through
