Default 12 hour or Military Time..Does Audi Listen?

My new Audi 1.8T MY2001 came with a digital clock. The time is displayed in "military" or 24 hour format (Canada).

I would like to change it to 12 hour format since that's the norm in Canada (except for Quebec).

I called the dealer service and asked if this could be done. They said no.

I called the Audi Advocate who said it "must be the local standard". I asked if they would consider this modification. They only promised to register my comment.

Any one who wants to change to 12 hour format should also call the Audi Advocate and state that "military" time is not the standard and a minor distraction while driving. If enough people do this, possibly Audi Will Listen.

You will need your VIN.

Good luck,

Barry

Default I was able to change it on my Scirocco...

If you have 2 "set buttons" puch them in simultaneously and hold for 2 seconds and the display might change. At least that's how I did if for my Scirocco....
Not for nothing but I prefer the 24Hr display..

I think I saw it in the FAQ about getting various status codes from the climate control system.

Default I think it's mentioned in the manual somewhere

But I do prefer military time myself. It should really be the standard - why do you think airlines use it? I keep putting off adjusting my dash clock to that format.

OK, so I'm a software engineer and military time makes programming easier!
