Default 12v ECU UPGRADE FOUND!

I found somebody that does the ECU upgrade for the 12v 2.8L v6. They basically custom map the ECU for the upgrades that have been done.

I saw the upgrade for $305 on the
http://www.speedfreaksspeedshop.com/

www.jetchip.com is the company that does the work.

The email I got from them today in response to my inquiry about chipping my 12v.

We do have an ecu upgrade available for your application. The ecu upgrade does require that the factory ecu be sent to us for modification. You must purchase the upgrade package before sending the ecu to us for
The modification. Suggested retail is $399.00, and the part number is 65002. The ecu upgrades are all done per the application, in other words, do all the modifications you intend on doing before you get the ecu upgraded. That way the program can be set up for the specific modifications. Hp gains would be dependant on the extent of modifications.

From what I've heard they do good work. 1 day turnaround and return overnight shipping is included in the price. After all what use is an A4 without an ECU??? So in a couple of weeks I will have my ECU remaped. WHOO HOO more power for me.

Default I'd like to see someone do that before I just on the bandwagon...

See some before and after dyno tests, that sort of thing.

Default Re: 12v ECU UPGRADE FOUND!

apparently I am wrong

this has been tried and they cant do it. The Hitachi ECU is a manky piece of **** and refuses to play nicely with others.
