Default 12v vs. 1.8T clutch engagement

Both cars engage very high, but is the 12v supposed to engage even higher than the 1.8T?

Default I've driven both- my 1.8t engaged higher BUT

my clutch was pretty much shot. Now that I have the new clutch, I would say it engages at pretty much the same height as my friend's 12v.
