16" wheels - 205/55/16 tires. What pressures Front/Rear for doing auto-x?

set it at say 38psi and work your way up. Bring a gauge with you to the grid, and check/adjust pressure between runs.

If so, by how many PSI? I've got the Dunlop 8000e's, so i don't think they go higher than 40.

you will notice that once you run your tire pressure will go up by 5-8psi easily just from the heat generated from the run. I'd suggest running a few lbs higher than your daily tire pressure then go up a degree per run till you're happy. And yes in some situations you want higher rear than front or vice versa depending on the vehicle and conditions. Good luck.
