Default 17" or 18" wheels?

Which one would be better, I want the 18" wheels for the look, but my handling might suffer. Also, what is a good tire size for 17" or 18", 215/45 or 225/45 or even 215/40?

Default Your handling will actually improve with bigger wheels, its your comfort that will suffer.

But I have 18" and yeah with bumps and potholes you will regret 18" with 40 series tires. If you lve in a good area withe nice roads (e.g. California) then go for 18" man!

Default Here are the tire sizes you are looking for...

If you go with a 17x8" wheel, you will need 225/45 17 tires.

For 18x8's, you will need 225/40 18 tires.

These sizes are the closest you can get to stock so that your speedometer will give you an accurate read.

17's won't give you a painfully harsh ride, and they offer better performance than an 18" wheel of the same make. An 18" wheel will offer no real benefits except for looks.

Default And furthermore,

Whenever you need a new set of tires for your rims, you'll be having to shell out ~$200 more per set of 4 just because you went with 18" rims. Is the aggravation of dodging even the smallest of potholes and spending alot more money worth it? I personally don't think so. My vote is for the 17" ones! (Heck, they're probably lighter too!)

Save the funds for something exciting like a PESG2 Supercharger!!

Be sure to tell us what you ultimately decide on!

Scott.
