Default 18014 - rough road/engine torque signal from..........?????

18014 - rough road/engine torque signal from ABS: Electrical Malfunction P1606 - 35-00 - -

Does anyone know what this fault code means??
It won't let me in to the ABS controller either.

I tried another controller that is good and it gives the same message.

Thanks

Default ABS Controller is bad...

You can get it rebuilt or just drive around without ABS.

Default I switched it out already but

Last car I had a bad controller on I put another controller in and recoded it with the same code as the original, it worked.
This controller will sometimes let me log in but it gives a software code that has 10 digits, the vag says it can't be recoded with a 10 digit # only a 5.
BTW its a 00 1.8t

Default Re: Are your abs and brake light on?

with the original controller, yes both lights, but when the car is cold, no lights or codes till I drive it up the road.
With the other controller, just the ABS light on, no flashing brake light. But i haven't been able to recode that controller yet.

Default maybe the new one is starting to go...

search the archive for 18014. Many of the posts lead to a bad abs controller. I have the same code on mine and cannot access the controller.
