Default 18's to 19's

Sold my 18's and am now looking for some new wheels. I would'nt mind stepping up to a 19 but I am curious as to any possible problems in doing that. Also, is the decrease in ride comfort between the two that noticeable? I don't remember that big of a difference in switching from a 17 to an 18 on my jetta but a 19 with a 35 series tire yells rollerskate ride to me. Any info and experiences would be great.

Default Re: 18's to 19's.......more....

the only problem with getting 19"s is that they only have tires in 235/35/19, which is a tiny bit taller than one with 225 which might be thw way to go for our A4s, because there's a possibility of scuffing the shock mounts when u lower the car or with like 5 people on board with 235s when u go over bumps. However, i know 2 A4 guys with 19x8.5s with 235/35/19s and h&r coilovers(read extremely low), and they love the set-up, and of course, it looks awesome. Personally, I got 225/40/18s with 18x8s, I would gone to 19s if i got the cash!! I jumped up from 15s to 18s and the ride just suffer a little bit, so 19s can't be that bad, so my advice is to go for it!! Who cares if the thing weigh like a ton! You will have a damn good looking car!!
