18x8" Borbet Type TD for sale. Look inside for more details!
I am selling my car, and I will start with the wheels. they are 18x8 Borbet Type TD (discontinued in north amerca) ET35 with 225/40/18 Tyres (approx 40% tread left). these wheels weigh with rubber just under 40lbs on my bathroom scale. fairly light for an 18" wheel.
I would like to get $1000 USD plus shipping from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for them. I will ship via UPS unless otherwise instructed by the buyer.
The wheels are straight as an arrow, and the tires all hold air. I had a hole in one of the tires that I had plugged last year. it was a small one in the tread, and this didn't effect the tire at all.
The wheels came off of an S4, were sold to a passat owner who never mounted them, and then sold to me. I purchased them in June of last year, and drove on them until september. I do not know if they will clear stop techs, or any other big break kits. I also don't know if they will clear S4 brakes, but they were on an S4.
the day I put the wheels on I was flagged down by numerous other drivers telling me how beautiful they looked, and how hot my car was. it was the first time this had happened.
Cosmetically there are a few problems with the wheels. All 4 wheels could use to have the lips re-finished. there are some minor curbage spots, and clear coat chips. All that I can see needing to be done is strip, and re-do the clear coat. this woulnd't cost more than a hundred or so dollars at a wheel repair shop.

these wheels come with the centercaps, and do not include lug nuts. stock lugs can be used (this is what I am using), they work fine!
