Default 1996 A4
I have just recently bought a 1996 A4 2.8 .....can anyone tell me who makes performance chips for that year and model.....it seems I can only find them for 1998 and newer...any input would be appreciated

Chips won't do much for a 2.8 5-10 HP at best.

Actually there are no chips available for the '96-97 12v 2.8. Only the '98+ 30v 2.8

Not many mods for the 12V. It's a pretty stout engine though.

Default Vortrag is the only tuner that I'm aware of that does anything for the 12v 2.8
It mentions chip tuning by GIAC, but I believe that is in conjunction with the Big Valve Ported Heads, not just a chip by itself.<ul><li><a href="http://www.vortrag.com/engine/index.html">Vortrag</a></li></ul>

PES supercharger is only for the 30v 2.8 not the 12v
