Sorry for the repost. I need some help.

Does anyone have the factory CD changer that uses the round 8 pin connector for a 1996 A4? Does anyone make any harnesses? I'm using a ****ty changer that skips and uses FM Modulation. YUCK.

Can someone help me out as to my options?

I call it XM Radio, iPod, or phatbox. CDs are old school man.

My XM Radio is sent in with their powerful FM modulator which I am very pleased with. The iPod is hooked up with ICE>Link right into the HU, and the phatbox is an Audi sound system. As far as you go, check eBay and the classifieds here. I know there are a lot for sale.

Every compatability page I visit says they have NOTHING for a 1996. Are you misreading? I don't think you could possibly have the delta CC headunit...

delta CC works with a proprietary alpine cd changer. 4D0-035-111-X $730.

yeah. I have the Delta CC as well. Looked on eBay for the cd changer... no luck. Maybe I'll try another time.

Anyway, the only thing that works (or that plugs right in, basically) is teh factory CD changer. ~$700 from Audi dealer. If you're willing to part with your speakers, u can go ahead and change out the HU as well. IMHO Blaupunkt HUs fit Audis the best. They don't look as flashy as some of the other ones...

Alas, I'm a poor college student... so I didn't go that route. Still listening to the radio... T_T
