Is 1998 A4 ECU compatible with 1997 A4? Also is 1998 VW Passat compatible with 1997 A4?

Default What the hell are you up to now, thought you alread had 2 ECU's?
And the ECU's will work, I tried a 99 and a 98 in my car once.

car-part.com has ECUs for around $125. you can use MY97 to MY99.5 ECUs

Default lowest price I see is $292... and most of the listings are from passats
I found an exact match for the ecu in my car for $250... I'm gonna go with that.

passats ECUs are fine. the VW and Audi symbols are on both
