I assume this is an old problem, but how does one remove the pop up cup holders that is in the console between the front seats by the parking brake? Do I have to remove the console to get at these darn things?

Followed the instructions, took out the three nuts on the rear of the console underneath the ash tray for the back, took the two nuts off both sides of the front of the console, but there seems to be a couple of screws or nuts midway of the console that is preventing me from removing the console. I took the ebrake handle and skirt off as well but still there seems to be something else holding the console in place. do you know if there is a schematic someway in this forum that shows the make-up of the console on the '98 a4??
