Default circlip pliers look like large wire cutters or pliers with little prongs that...
come out of the end. You should be able to switch the prongs. They usually cost about $20 at homedepot. I got them for doing the UUC SS kit and then returned them.

I was at home depot and they didn't have them! Didn't even know what they were.

I used 2 pieces of decent sized wire thru the 2 holes and then pulled apart c-clip.
