Default you're not gonna like this...

Back when I sold my ECU, I was asking about the same price, but it took me 4 months to find a buyer for it.

When I sold my APR ECU, it took me less than 4 weeks.

There was nothing wrong with the MTM ECU that warranted the perceived difference in demand that I found, but people seem to want the name that is "talked about" the most. *shrug*

If you have a buyer that's interested in the differences between the two, I have posted it numerous times, or you could just forward them to me. I've had each for about 25K miles each, so I could give them a rundown on how the chips compare.

Default

You can change the soft coding with VAG-COM so that someone with a 5 speed can use that ECU

Default Tried it (many times)...doesn't work.

That's what I thought when I got the ecu. I have the registered VAG-COM and it will not recode. I have asked Uwe Ross, Hoppen, and even AWE (on RKA's recommendation) and each told me that the 2000 A4 ECUs can't be recoded.

Now, if you know something that I don't (hopefully) please tell me. I am very happy with the performance of the chip, I just can't recode it for 5-speed (CEL is on constantly).

Default 4 months ACK! Well at least I'm one fourth the way there. ;)

I know what you mean. For some reason I don't get any hits on the MTM. Now, if it were APR or GIAC it probably would have already sold.

Now, if I were only in Europe. It looks like MTM is all the rage there.
