Default 2000 A4 TQM Oil light on... help!

My oil light goes on when I turn... but only when I turn (right turns I think). There is plenty of oil showing on the dipstick, so I am guessing I have a problem with my oil pump or something. Last time I had this problem a few years ago, my mechanic had to replace an oil pickup tube that had a screen that had become clogged by some prior owner using a non-approved sealant around the oil pan... But I didn't see that pickup tube listed. Do I just need a whole new oil pump? If not, can someone give me an idea of what the problem might be and where to look? The oil light that comes on is the big red one in the bottom screen (Where the low coolant indicator lights up) Thanks!

You're confident you have enough oil in there?

I'm not familiar with the Oil lights or sensors on these cars becasue i've never had an oil issue. How about a bad oil sensor?

Plenty of oil. It looks like a major ordeal to drop the pan. Looks like I probably should clean the screen and replace the oil pump... Anyone have any suggestions on this?

Not sure but you might be able to read the codes to see if it is oil pressure or oil level that is causing the light
