2001 1.8 t owners! Does anyone go as far as 10K for oil change? I think thats crazy.

Nah...I'm using Mobil 1 and I changed mine in between 10K and 20K.

Default I gave them Mobil 1 for the 5k service...
then I paid for another oil change/tire rotation at 8k ... then I bumped my 10k change back to 11k. I will continue along that line until I start doing each change myself after 50k.

Mobil 1 the entire time. Because I am not leaving the oil in that long I ignored the amsoil discussion from a couple days ago. So far I have no had to add any oil. (cross fingers)

Default I have an 01, 22,000 miles... and changed at 5, 10, and 20k w/mobil 1
I trust those german engineers... and mobil 1
