Default 2001 1.8T FWD Stock Alternator Current Rating

Does anyone happen to know the current output rating on the stock alternator for a 2001 1.8T? Also wondering if by chance someone would know the car's current consumption (range) under normal conditions.

70A, 90A, or 120A are all possible options. What electrical issues are you having? Stereo install?

Default Yup, stereo upgrade. Want to know how much current I might have available to me...

and when I might need to upgrade the alternator. Does it say the rating somewhere on the alternator? Any idea of what percentage of use Audi usually shoots for?

Default so the 2001 AWM takes a Valeo specifically? Does bosch make a unit as well?

just curious because the local import parts place didnt know which alternator I would need, and I want to make sure I order the correct one...
