BTW - as far as fuel cleaners - BG-44K is one of the best - and you can tell the difference once you have put it in.
I once put a can in the 95 Audi 90 - that my daughter was driving and did not tell her. She asked me out of the blue if I had put anything in the fuel system as she could tell the car was running noticeably smoother.

only. Tried switching coil packs, got new plugs, tried the Techron, same story. Turns out it was a mechanically broken fuel injector that had haywire readings when it was cold. Try running an output test using VAG-COM on all the injectors. They should all fire at the same rate. My busted injector would only fire intermittently during the test, while all the other good ones fired constantly. Good luck.

At about 65k on my Cavalier 2 of 6 injectors had bad ohms readings and they were indeed misfiring cold . You can even take ohms readings from the injectors themselves with a digital volt-ohm meter to see if they have like resistance.
