I have a 2001 A4 1.8T with 40k miles on it. Since this is California, the extended warranty choices are somewhat limited.
So far I have three quotes for $2140 ($150 dedutable), $2275 ($200) and $2323 ($100)(Audi Dealer). All are bumper to bumper and take the coverage up to 100k.
Questions.
1. Should I get a warranty?
2. Does anyone else have a better place to get a warranty from?
3. Why kind of issues are people seeing with their 2001 A4's??
Thanks.

that is if you have the time/ ability / desire to turn your own wrench. That being said I am sure that warranty may pay for itself at some point.
You have to ask yourself if the initial payment is worth the security of somethings that could/ could not go wrong and what could the outcome be if you otherwise didn't have the warrranty.
I think if you wait past 60 K and your TB goes south on you, the warranty well probably be worth it.
