Default 2001 A4 Pricing - Authoritative???

I hesitated posting anything about 2001 pricing, but have not seen anythng that really explains the new numbers and I think I have something to add.

I have ordered a 2001 A4 as follows (all prices are invoice and confirmed by my dealer):

$21,840 - base A4
$1,750 - quattro
$660 - sport package
$440 - sport seats
$396 - metallic paint (greedy ba*$@rds)

$26,611 - subtotal
$798 - 3% dealer profit

$27,409 - delivery price

That's the car I ordered so I can only speak to the cost of the options I have.

The base increase is (invoice): $484

Hope this proves helpful.

The wait continues . . . (mid-July???; ordered 3/14)

Well, the actual dealer invoice sheet was posted a while back.. search the archives.. I believe it was posted on 5/8/00.

Also, how'd you get such a great price? What dealer did you work with?

Sorry to have missed the pricing detail.

I am working with Clair Audi in Boston and was nothing but clear from the beginning about what I was willing to pay.

I have a completed purchase/sale agreement and the (new) invoice numbers I have are from my salesperson at Clair so the deal is not just an "over-the-phone" or e-mail thing. It's a healthy combination. I think the fact that I have only talked with the salesperson twice and most of our contact has been e-mail is what makes it a good deal for Clair--the salesperson deals with me when convienent, that makes the small profit acceptable, I think.

I was hesitant to believe that there was not a "catch" but I am beginning to believe that I am being dealt with "fairly and squarely."

Of course the proof will come at delivery, but I am reasonably confident that I will get the car at 3% dealer profit.

It seems that knowledge is power.

I just finished a similar deal with Clair. It was slightly less than yours, but for the most part the same situation. Mostly dealt via email, until it came time to close the deal.
From the many Massachusetts Audi dealers I searched in my A4 quest Clair seems to be the most reasonable and flexible in pricing.
My contacts at Clair were Ann Marie Higgins(email) and Mike Turin(dealership). Both very nice.
What did they charge you for Documentation Fee?
Was it around $225 with running?

enlighten me here... those numbers don't add up... if you add up those numbers then add the 3% profit and the destinatio charge it would be 26353.58... where'd the extra $$$ come from???

Can you clarify your pricing..?? The numbers DON'T add up.
My calculator says $25086 for the car and options and then
3% would be $752.58, so the total would/should be $25838.58.

The 3% over invoice is great IF it's true, but the #'s don't work.

I'm in New England, and waiting and wanting an A4, so let us know about
the true price of your vehicle. Then maybe I'll get in touch with Clair Audi.

Thanks....
