I apologize for goofing on the numbers I posted earlier. Some sharp readers of the forum caught my mistake.

Below is the deal I have through Clair Audi in Boston; I have dealt with Sandra Wilson and she has been very straight-forward. My initial purchase and sale agreement states a $99.50 documentation fee (had 2000 numbers, but the doc. fee should not change.

Here are the "good" numbers for those interested (I did question including the destination fee in the 3% calculation, but did not push too hard when told "oh that's the way we do it"--it only adds $15 or so):

$21,840 - base (invoice)
$1,750 - quattro (invoice)
$660 - sport package (invoice)
$440 - sport seats (invoice)
$396 - paint (invoice) (silver by the way)
$525 - destination charge

$25,611 subtotal

$768 3% dealer profit

$26,379 delivery price

p.s. I live in Mystic, CT and was laughed at by Hoffman Audi in East Hartford, CT and did not do much better at Inskip in Warwick, RI.
