As I'm about to take delivery on my new '00 A41.tqms this week, it seems to me a $500 increase (or even $800 for you metallica fans) which gets you 170hp, side air curtains and one year additional warranty is a steal. Kinda wish I'd waited for the '01 -- I expected a lot bigger price increase than this.

You don't have to be such a hardass. Just because you are trying to justify the money you paid, doesn't mean the rest of us wanted to get fleeced. This is a cheap trick by Audi, and if they want the price up by that much, it should have been in the base price and not as a 'metallic paint option'

I called those worthless pieces of S**t and they said that they had no idea, and wouldn't do anything. They said to talk to the dealer as though they had set the pricing. Maybe I don't want an Audi after all. If Subaru will hurry up and deliver info on the new Imprezza, maybe thats the way to go. I already feel the A4 is overpriced, and I don't want to get gouged any further.
