Personally I think it is really comparable to the GS 300 type of styling from the side profile. I really see the same type of look. Very luxoury, almost A6 like yet small enough to maintain the A4 name. Not as sporty but I can definatly see myself burning some rice in luxo-style :-)

Default I am starting to agree

When Audi came out with the A4 design in 1995, it was a stand alone design that not one car manufacturer could match, it was sporty, fresh and modern.

IMHO, this new 2002 design is very bland, too conservative and not very sporty,,,It blends in too much with the current car designs.
It needs a more sporty, racey look,,,maybe a pronounced,,slightly raised hood.

Default I parked my 2001.5 right next to the 2002 at my dealer...

Walking up and down, front and back, side to side I looked at them for close to 10 minutes.

Discounting the wheels (my car's a non-sport) my opinion is...

Front - 2001 (by a mile)
Sides - 2002
Back -2002
Interior 2002 (by a mile)

I'm one of those wierdos that LIKES the black on the bottom of my silver. That said, the black on the silver 2002 is too much.

I won't drive one because I just got my 2001 (July) and don't want buyers remorse.

Funny, as a new A4 owner my thoughts are a bit different.

Front - 2002
Sides - 2001
Back - toss up
Interior - 2001

So maybe we can trade side and interior's?

Default Ok time to put my opinion in...hehe

Front: 1999.5-2001
Sides: 2002
Back: 2002
Interior: Both are fine with me!

However, I have to see what kind of performance mods will be available. There's still an unknown about chipping and turbo although it's still a 1.8T. As for cosmetic mods, it looks like EricPA already covered that....haha.

Default You mean you want something like a boy racer IS300 style. Then a whole bunch of people will complain

that their 2002 A4 looks like a rice burner.
