Default 205/60-15 or 195/65-15

My 97' A4 1.8TQA comes with 195/65-15. The latter years of the OE for 1.8TQ is 205/60-15 with same width of rims (I believe it's 15"x7"). Is there any difference of offset for the same-size rims? I am thinking about changing my tires to 205/60-15 (Finally, after 65000 original miles), and considering this over 195/65-15 because of the similar take-off reaction (wider = more fiction, but has smaller diameter = less inertia), but better cornering traction. Is this the case? I am just worrying about the clearance at far left and right situation. Anybody has any experience? Please help.

Default there won't be a clearance problem.....

the difference in handling will be more dependent on the tire type you buy than the difference in these sizes......you will have a much wider selection of performance at the 205-60 size (the 195-65 size is the standard all-season,winter tire size...
