Default Is 245/45/17 doable on 8" wide wheels for 25.5"F 25"R heights on my '01?

St00pid Kumho doesn't offer anything smaller in their V710 R-Compound tire for a 17" wheel...

really depends on the tire brand, some 245s are a lot wider then others. Not sure about Kumhos.

Default yeah depends on brand, my 235/45-17s were close....more...

they came closee in the rear to the curved part of the hub housing, so a 245 with same aspect ratio wont work I dont think, unless you really spaced em out, I was runninga 17x8 with ET35. do they make 245/40-17? that'll be really really close in diam. to a 225/45-17, just wider, wich will likely fit, a few peope have run em i think.

Default reach in the rear arch and feel the gap between the tire and....

where the hub housing comes up and curves outward, its probably only a few mm's, going from 235 to 245 as you know will not only increase width, but diameter, you may run into problems...spacers might help though, but then again, your going wider, so you may stick out too much.

but basically 245/45-17 is off by a considerable amount. Thats a popular mustang size.
