I did mine today too. A friend lent me the key to his tool box and I hung around after work for an hour to replace my worn PBR ceramic pads & A8 rotors with new of the same. ~30mi drive home and all is well. Mine were making some nasty grinding sounds just before stopping, I found accumulation of grime on the rotor side of the backing plates and as the pads pressed against the rotors the grime was getting worked in too. I still had 30-40% remaining on my pads but for a few bucks I feel much better now.
