255mm REAR brake upgrade ??
Car : Audi A4 "B5" Quattro Avant
I would like to do the REAR brake upgrade from 245 mm solid rotors to 255 mm solid rotors.
But I'm a bit lost about which parts I will be needing for the upgrade
Caliper carriers
* Audi A4 "B5" Quattro , for 245 mm rotors --> 443 615 425A
* VW Passat "B5" 4-Motion , for 245 mm rotors --> 8E0 615 425
* Audi A6 "B5" Quattro , for 255 mm rotors --> 8E0 615 425
* Audi A4 "B6" Quattro , for 255 mm rotors --> 8E0 615 425A
Brake caliper :
* Audi A4 "B5" Quattro , for 245x10 mm rotors --> Left 8D0 615 423A , Right 8D0 615 424A
* VW Passat "B5" 4-Motion , for 245x10 mm rotors --> Left 8E0 615 423A , Right 8E0 615 424A
* Audi A6 "B5" Quattro , for 255x10 mm rotors --> Left 8E0 615 423A , Right 8E0 615 424A
* Audi A4 "B6" Quattro , for 255x12 mm rotors --> Since "B6" uses thicker brake rotors so they don't matter.
I have come to the conclusion that the height of the bracket
on the rear axle must differ between
the Passat "B5" and Audi A6 "B5"
since the same caliper carrier been used
regardless of 245 mm or 255 mm rotor
...so the question is what height have the bracket on A4 "B5" ?
...or is the height of the caliper carrier greater on the one from the Audi A4 "B6" ?
I also aware of that I must use the A6 Quattro rotor with the same offset as the A4 Quattro rotor.
Please help me out !
